Clear Cases.. any good?

I've been wanting to get a new case and was just wanting to know if the clear ones are any good?
they are rather expensive too so just wanting to know if they are worth their cost.

witout doubt that looks cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have to keep you cables tidy, but then you should anyway.

Coooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

They are ok if you go for that sort of thing. They can get mucked up pretty easily during shipping though

I'd be a little worried about static discharge since nothing is being grounded, but maybe I'm just paranoid.

hmmmm, good point. But the fans are the only thin that will collect static, and they should all be earthed through the PSU. So i think your answer is in your post

As a matter of fact I've read where some did have problems with grounding using certain motherboards with Acrylic cases. Other then that I'd imaging they are great as far as looks go but you have to dust them constant or you have a yucky PC which looks pretty gross :). For the most part though If its your style then go for it but I'd rather a nice aluminium case.

cool thanks for your replies.
ahh.. so i see there can be problems with electric charges.

does anyone know anything about the cooling abilities of these cases?
like are they better or worst in keeping your system cool compared to aluminium cases?

200$!, go buy a sheet of plastic(8x4feet) for 20$ or acrilic for 30$ and make 10 of those out of it. they can be just as good. cut out the peices then use 100% silicone to glue them to gether and get nice round edges.

If it was me, I'd be too paranoid about electric charges :P But I suppose they build them properly, so you shouldn't expect a problem with them (although, when is that ever true :D).

Nice case, too pricey for me though...
