I'm working on a HP DV 9720ns laptop and the guys password he gave me doesn't work and I can't contact him for several days.
I tried the battery removal and pulled the rtc battery and left it out for 60 minutes instead of the required 5 minutes to remove the passwords in memory.
By the factory book the password requirement should be gone, but it's still there,
I'll leave the out till tomorrow, or 17 hours when I return, in hopes of a cleared memory history.
Anyone had this problem and what did you do to clear the password memory?
