Clearing processes

OK, this was brought up in a poll I just made, and I figured it would be best to ask elsewhere. I'd rather not flood a poll with personal questions, even if it's mine ;)

Anyway, how do I get rid of all the "svchost" processes? Right now, I have 6. I'm sure there are other things I can clear up, but most of those are quite easy though HijackThis and other such programs...

svchost.exe is a system process belonging to the Microsoft Windows Operating System which handles processes executed from DLLs. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.

Why would you want to get rid of them?

There is also a Virus out right now with svch0st.exe stealing passwords and IDs from WOW players. Thats a zero not an o in the name...

Well, it just seems like there's some way I could have less than 6 running :P But I know they're clean. My desktop's been though a lot less recently than my laptop, and neither of them have detected any virus's. They aren't zero's anyway...

Open up services.msc and kill the ones you dont need, there are a whole bunch of svchost ones there :)
