Clicking sound coming from inside case

This is most likely the wrong place to ask this but whenever I start running my computer, something inside the case starts to make a constant clicking sound. If anyone has any idea of what it could be/what component is causing this problem and how to fix it, it would be greatly appreciated!

My guess would be the hard drive and the famous click of death sound. Does windows load up?

Check to see where the noise is comeing from inside the case, specifically the fans and hard drive (assuming it is a mechanical hard drive). Sometimes the bearings in fans fail causing a grinding sound but if it's coming from your hard drive then you will need a new one and I would strongly recommend backing up anything on that drive that you need in case it fails outright.

It's usually one of the fans. Get some canned air and flush it out. If it's a hard drive, it's probably close to failing. But bad bearings usually don't make a clicking noise like a dirty fan would. It's usually more of a grinding/high pitch wail sound, so I'm leaning toward it being a dirty fan.

Also, if something got wrapped around the fan, you might have to take the fan out and pick the stuff out manually.

The click of death is commonly the head going back to park position repetetitively when it's unable to read certain parts of the drive (especially with no TLER).
