Clock losing time

Guys,

My clock in windows keeps losing time and changing.

I have no virus according to Kaspersky.

What could cause the clock to keep changing?

thats what i thought it could be....that little round silver battery on my mobo.

So i can just buy a new one and switch them right or does this mess with the Bios?

Just turn off the computer and switch it, and boot it back up .

I had that same trouble before, however, it only happened when my computer was malfunctioning, and when I got everything straightened out, the clock worked perfectly. Also, even if the battery is running out, wouldn't the time still work if the computer is kept plugged in?
