Clone copy battery????

BOUGHT BATTERY OFF EBAY. SAID TO BE GENUINE HP.
LOOKS LIKE, STAMPED hp. logo, everything.
but i contacted hp and the part number didnt jive???

am i missing something here?

fake battery?

ebay power seller, guaranteeed hp battery

any thoughts/comments?
 
Report him to Ebay for selling non-authentic goods and leave him bad feedback and ask for a refund? thats what i would do if i was in your shoes =]
 
Didn't read the reviews, but locked right in on his location (China). That would have set up an instant yellow flag for me and made me do a bit more homework before committing to buy, but that's just me.
 
i am always a bit hesitant to buy from people in china....

seems like there standards in products are cheaply replicated, i wouldnt imagine the battery exploding etc but i would imagine it wouldnt last aslong as a standard battery.

i would belive if you could get a new original battery and the cheaper chinese replica, the original would last longer in performance and in life span.

at the end of the day you get what you pay for, stick to buying from uk or usa sellers as both countrys have higher product standards

my real hp battery says " cell origin korea "

ebay says cell origin japan...

whats the deal?
