Cloned MacBook HDD-Need Help!!

Hi guys,
I have an apple macbook pro, which came with a 250GB HDD. I have just recently brought myself a 500GB to put in. I have cloned the 250GB to the 500GB, and plugged the 500GB in, so it boots up and works. The only trouble i have is that in the "finder", it still says that i only have 214GB left. How do i change this?? It also does this in the bootcamp assistant, letting me choose the maximum partition space as 250GB. Any help would be much appreciated! Should i just backup my documents etc to an external hard drive, and reinstall snow leopard? Oh, and do the macs come with the iLife disks? I have one titled "Mac OS X Install DVD", and a disc titled "Applications Install DVD". Do any of these discs have iLife on them?

REMEMBER: Its a mac!

Thanks

A clone will mean that when you partition it across it will limit it to the initial clones size. The rest is unusable until you expand the partition. Unfortunately this is a computer forum dominated by PC users, so you may have to wait awhile until someone can give you the correct advice. I would boot from the MAC disk and use Disk Utility to try and expand the cloned partition across the whole disk making the full 500GB available.

There's a few here, primarily tlarkin, that know all the mac stuff so I edited the thread title.. maybe that will get their attention. Wouldn't hurt to try bigfellla's steps in the meantime.
