COD 4 disc won't read?

I just put in COD 4 on my 360 and it won't read it. I cleaned it with a soft cloth for my hdtv and then I looked at it. It literally has very little scratches until I saw on the outside of the disc half a circle going around the disc. :confused: It won't read at all but the scratch is in a perfect circle. :mad: I never put the xbox on its side so I don't know wtf happened. Can I fix it?
 
The optical drive in the console is probably shitting out. I've had both PS2 and 360 drives that give discs those circular love bites. It seemed to be connected to the drives inability to read discs as well, cause they always occurred together.

M$ will fix it, if you call em up and explain the situation.

Interesting.. How much will it cost to fix it? Is the disc done for? I also meant that I have never had the 360 standing up it has been on the side it is supposed to be on. Thanks for the help.
