CoD 4: Star Wars Galactic Warfare Mod

Before my motherboard died I'd started playing around with a lot of the mods for 4, some were really fun. There was a really fun WWII mod for it, but I can't recall the name of it.
 
This oddly enough makes me want to buy COD4 now ~_~


I don't play online much more of a CS fan (not CSS) but I might just buy this. I am curious how alive is the COD4 community and better yet is it ran by 10 year old rejects like CS:S is?

And no, it isn't all run by 10 year olds. Every clan I have been in (just about all servers are clan owned obviously :) )is all adults with real lives outside of the games, jobs, family, life problems etc. They take no bs from people breaking server rules and are just about all a good laugh, so it isn't really child run :D However obviously, you do get the odd child, or adult with a child mind, coming through, but usually admin come and sort them out swoon enough, and even if a mod isn't around, they hardly ruin the game

I haven't played since September but when I was last playing there was no shortage of servers by any means and with the massive PC boycott on MW2 I can't imagine thats changed much. Pretty much everyone I knew said they cancelled their pre orders.

You get your occasional idiot kid, but its NOWHERE near as bad as the CS:S community is. It helps that most don't use the in game voice chat.

Yes, this is CoD4, not the new MW2 or WaW.

WaW sucked :P
It was better than 3, but that not saying much, Treyarchs games are horrible. I will admit though, WaW had much better maps than 4 did.
 
Yeah bit of a cluster not use to such speedy fighting....least I am back to a 1:1 ratio first few maps was like 1:50 ^-^


Then again the entire server was 5 stars which they get all the neat guns :/ Think I made Sergent tonight. BTW wasn't there a zombie mod where you were attacked by a never ending wave of zombies?

and imo 4's maps are better than MW2s.

and to the OT, that mod looks amazing, I might have to buy cod4 for pc as well just for that lol
 
Wouldn't really know, only played 2-3 maps on my brothers xbox so far. I liked the couple I played though. Only one I didn't like was some big log cabin on a hill.
 
Hey for the COD4 players....currently 6 hours in or so made it to rank 20 but do I ever get more then 1 attachment for my weapon?

Also when does leveling start to really slow down?
 
No, it's always 1 attachment.
Slows down around the 30s, but not by a ton. Depends on the server size you're playing on too and how good you are.
 
Bah that is lame...even my AK47 has options for multiple attachments :/

I been playing on a newbie server 55 in the UK with 95% 55 which I imagine is max rank. Hard to get over a 1:1 with all the nade spam and never ending helos and air strikes.

Dunno how many times I spawn right in the path of one.


Still trying to find that co-op zombie mode I saw a year back on youtube though....looks awesome.
 
Yeah, it's kinda lame, not sure why they limited it to one attachment. Just a heads up, theres no attachments on the mp44 when you unlock it.

55 is max rank (unless you're on Xbox, then theres prestige modes). Just wait til you've been playing a while, it gets incredibly easy if you're any good. When I quit I was at the point where I was getting 100+ kills and maybe 2-3 deaths 99% of the time on 5v5 servers. It almost was like just clicking something in a flash game.
If the spam and everything is getting to be too much, try small servers. Don't forget you can kill the copters too. RPGs make short work of them.

Yeah, the spawning in 4 kinda sucks.

Zombie co-op is on World at War, not 4. Theres a cool zombie mod for 4 though on PC.
 
Yeah I the WaW one is different though from the one I saw its way to pretty.
It was like the zombies hovered vs walked it was not as detailed as "turn to zombie" mod on CoD4 which I found a good server for.

It was on a map very similar to News Station map and it was say a group of 5 friends surviving as many waves of zombies as possible.
These were AI based and when you died it was over you didn't become a zombie.
