i decided to reinstall vista so i saved my cod4 profile and now even after replacing the new profile with the one i saved it still doesnt give me my xp points or saved games back any surgestions
 
I copied my profile from XP when I was installing Vista...

Install COD4, Create a new account, play a game or two in SP and in MP, go to...

C:\Users\"Your User Name"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles

Then copy all of your saved data into the profile folder in there :)
 
What I did was uninstall Call of Duty 4 then when it asked about leaving saved games and such I told it to leave it. I backed that up and when I installed COD4 again (after formatting) and patched it I just copied all the files that I backed up over. Worked for me!
