CoD1mp.EXE won't run

i alreasy am running it in admin mode and on xp,it just says "windows has encounterd a problem and needs to shut down this program" and "send error report" and "dont send."

This may seem daft, have you tried reinstalling it and before running it restarting your computer?

I had murders with cod 1 and even have the place i bought send me out a new coopy only to restart my computer straight after a fresh install and have it work.

It may be worth trying.

I am guessing that your computer hardware is responsible for this.

Please download and run PC wizard from my sig and go to FILE, SAVE AS and click OK. Then copy the text out of that file into this thread.

Although the report shows you have directx 9 installed, that graphics solutions (ATi Radeon 7500) only supports directx 7 which is not suffcient for Call of Duty 1. Most (if not all) require direct x 9 these days as a bare minimum. Unfortunately that laptop will not play any 3d games of note. In shorth there is nothing you can do to fix this. To double check what i say go here: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ and select Call of Duty or any other game you are intending to install/purchase, and see what it says, but essentially, time for a new system if you want to game.

regardless of what that report says, your graphics chip is DirectX7, therefore you wont get it to play that game. sorry mate.

let me spell this out clearly for you mate, your graphics is only able to process direct x 7, and the game requires direct x 9, there is nothing you can do.
