On the minimum requirements:

DirectX 9.0c compliant 128MB 3D video card with one of these chipsets:
(NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or better) (ATI Radeon 9800 Pro or better

I went to the requirements lab... It passed... The model's different, but the memory size passed, and so did the other stuff that was needed (something like DX version, 3D Acceleration... HW T&L... Pixel and Vertex shaders.. all pass... why can't I play the demo? I can overclock pretty high... (maybe? )

I'm pretty sure the FX5200 is DX 9 (not 9c) complient. especially since it says 6600 or better. the 6 series was quite abit better than the 5.

You're missing the point that the minimum system requirements REQUIRES a card that's a whole generation (i use the term loosely) past yours.

You said you're using the 5200, simply put, it doesn't meet the MINIMUM requirements.

An FX5200 barely gets by running Windows XP gui...let alone CoD4

my 9600 pro wont run it either....it loads the intro video clip at the start and then i just get a black screen

:P I don't think yours is fully compatible either :P When I tried to play Underground 2 on integrated graphics (:D) All I saw was the movie. Everything else was... weird and... weird :D

(I gotta upgrade! Your turn :D)
