When I click single player the game starts like one sec but when I click mp takes up to two mins to load up ''when I click the icon'' is this normal?

E6750-8600gt-GA-G31MX-S2 mb-160gb hd-2gb A-data ddr2 800-- I can play the game fine just takes time for mp to load when I click mp and doesn't show the intro loads to pick a name I have a name for sp and mp just wish it loaded faster..
 
Hey man It does the same thing to me and I have an above average gaming computer. Sp starts really fast and MP alittle bit slower I think it may have something to do with it recognizing your Internet connection. This is just a hunch though I am not really sure why its like that.
 
I guess it's normal, as Freestylingford said, it might be because it's trying to connect to the Internet.
 
the other day my internet whent down and before i realized it i clicked on the cod 4 mp and it hung on the splash screen i had to use task manager to cancel it
