Code '8.7.' Computer wont boot

So I just built my new computer.

When I tryed booting up my PC in the past, it didn't recognize my drives. So I tryed reseting my CMOS (I'm not sure why I did), and ever since then my monitor doesnt respond to the computer, and the motherboard gives me code '8.7.', which the manual says means, "Check CPU Core Voltage".

What does this mean? Why is this happening since I reset CMOS? I put the jumper back, and still no luck. Any clue as to how to fix this problem?
 
it wouldnt be your cmos battery... if you didnt have one or a dead one it would boot, but everytime you boot you'll get a "cmos has set default settings" or something similar. try resetting your ccmoos, maybe you raised your core voltage over the recommended limits of your mobo or CPU, remove all the plugs in the back, and take out the cmos battery, wait a few seconds (20seconds is what i d0) then connect everything back.
 
You did put the CMOS jumper back on the normal setting, correct?

All I can suggest is looks for any shorts. Perhaps even tear the computer down and rebuild it. Test it with as little hardware in it as possible(single stick of RAM, no GPU, or an older PCI card if possible) Those errors aren't always accurate, so something else could be messing up the system.
 
Yes, I put CMOS back to its normal setting. There are no shorts, all I did was move a jumper, then move it back. I didn't move anything, I didn't touch any other cables, nothing.
 
This site is useless.. people think of the most OUTRAGEOUS problems possible opposed to thinking simple and INSIDE the box first. Thats only if your lucky enough to get a response.. garbage -_-

well if you can think that simply then you dont need our help do you ;)

If you dont like this site then go elsewhere.

The members of computer forum are very very helpfull and has helped me out alot in the past with problems ive had.
most of the things i know about computers now i have learnt from here.
