Codec Question Please Help

ok i really dont know much about codec i just know the types and that stuff..first part is what does everyone reccomend as the best codec pack or should i just install each one seperatly second im trying to split these videos and both wont go they are xvid vids..any ideas..please help

I have this one installed at the moment, it works well, but make sure you uncheck things you don't want to install, such as the media player classic.

thats what im using to but im trying to split a video thats in xvid and its not working it does it in a second and doesnt split it

What software are you using?

Ok, well according to the software specs, it seems the software doesn't support the splitting of Xvid, only Divx. That may be your problem.

Perhaps a combination of this software and Virtualdub may work for you.
