Codecs

I have had some problem with codecs, sometimes the media I want to play cannot be played due to the fact that I have not got the right codec. So I am bit tired of this so could anyone aid me?

if u need codec try DivX its very good

OK thanks I will have a look at it, and by the way I have already got DivX.

I use K-Lite Codec Pack Full and QuickTime 7, I don't have problems playing any videos so far, if you're going to install K-Lite, don't install classic media player that's in it, just untick it.

The one I always link people to is this one, and I haven't ever had any complaints, besides the fact I use it myself. But filip's right, make sure you uncheck the media player installation.

That's all very well, but you'd only need a specific codec if you're trying to play a video encoded with that codec. Suggesting trying a divx codec won't do anything if you don't have a divx video to play.

Lol, im not too sure, but in other codec threads, he has linked to a site with the exact same information on, so it very well maybe. And we all know he's big into the video editing and the like....
