Cold Boot Problem

I have a problem where in the morning when I first turn on my computer I get a system 32 start up problem. I keep hitting the reset button like 10 times then it goes to the desktop. I have chkdsk /r like 3 times and it still says files are corrupted or missing. This only happens when it is cold. I can shut it off and then back on all day and it works fine. Only happens after its been off for quite some time. Windows XP Home edition version 2002. Anybody have any ideas. I just built this everything brand new PS is Antec 650.

Sounds like a HD problem... even if the drive is fine, booting it below the recommended operating temperatures may cause some sizzle, which to me sounds like what's going on here. Have you done a physical scan during the day?

Also... how cold exactly is it in the morning?

And what HD are we talking about here? Some are rather picky about temperatures...
