Okay I need a laptop for college, mainly internet, but some minor gaming would be nice, halo, maybe hl2. I'd like to keep it cheap, but around $500 but I'm willing to go to about $900.

P.S. - In my opnion, you might want to choose a laptop with an intel CPU.
 
Those won't game well at all especially with Vista and Integrated graphics. You want at the VERY LEAST, 2gigs of ram a 1.8 c2d, and a dedicated graphics card.
I didn't look through all of those but most of them won't cut it.

It should do alright with some minor gaming. The price is $869 after mail-in rebate but you won't be able to get any cheaper than that if you want something that can game a bit.
For an extra $30 this one is quite a bit better:

It's regularly $999 but its on sale for $899. Hope this helps.

PS. After finishing looking at the ones above the two I posted will be quite a bit better. They're even cheaper than a few of the above.
 
and it would be okay with minor gaming? I know Enjoihcky24/7 said it would, I just want to double check, I don't play much, the most intensive being hl2 and I have no need to play that maxed so, as long as I'm set for hl2 I think I'll be ordering this one.
