Combining Avi's

Hi everyone. I currently use Nero or winavi for converting avi's to dvd format. But the problem is when i have a movie that is split into 2 avi's, nero forces me to make a menu. Which I don't want, i would prefer just straight movie. I just want to combine 2 avi's to complete a full movie.

So im wondering what other programs can i use that work like nero? I have used windvd creator 2 and 3 and they aren't reliable. any suggestions would be welcome. Or even a way to make nero combine them without menus. thank you. :)

i'd use dvd santa for that. it will make one long dvd file with no menu. and it's free. dvdsanta.com i think.

TMPGEng DVD Author is what I use to make DVDs of my videos. It's not free, but works very well. By default you do have a menu, but you can easilly disable it.

Another option might be to change the play order... My TV DVD-Recorder automatically puts a menu on the disks it makes. However, you have the option to select what plays first(either the first video or menu)

AVSmedia.com
They have all sorts of media you can use the the free version on the converter but they will leave a watermark on your dvd's. :(
Also if it splits into 2 movies it gives you the option to make it into one cd but it will shrink it.
HOw dunno never tried that :/

aye virtual dub is what i've been using, very easy to do a simple join of avi files, open file, append next file and save (so long as the audio synch is ok and such)
