Combining two graphics cards

Hello

I have a question if I have integrated card on my motherboard (or just plugged in by PCI) with 1G memory, and I buy second one with for example 2G It will use this 1G memory from second card?
Or It need to be specific company products like 2 ATI or Nvidia?
Or memory must be same type and timing?
Or it just don't work at all that way?

Thank You for answers

The memory for the integrated chipset is pulled from the system memory, so no. The benefit of a card with its own RAM will be that it frees up system resources.

Thank you but still don't understand correctly If like you said integrated card use system memory why is just limited to 1Gb if I have 8? Is there a way to increase this limit so it take more or is this completely different memory type?

It has allocated 1gb Because the integrated Card will run out of usable power before it calls for more than 1gb ram. allocate more it wouldn't make much difference.

Most onboard solutions will disable when there's another video card in the system. This frees up the ~1G of system RAM the onboard GPU was allocating.

You can leave it enabled for extra displays, or if you have an APU do a crossfire with the iGPU, but you wouldn't be using RAM in addition to each other in either scenario.
