I've got a CD-RW/DVD combo drive (model: QSI CDRW/DVD SBW-241) in my laptop. I have no problem reading DVD's except for the ones I burned myself. I've tried both the DVD-R and DVD+R format, with the same result: windows explorer behaves as if there wasn't a DVD present in the drive.
There's certainly nothing wrong with the DVD's as the computer that was used to create them, can read them alright.
The drive's lens isn't dirty or anything, and I can still read cd's with it.
The DVD's have been finished, so normally I should be able to read them on my laptop. Also, I've used the same settings and file name options (Joliet, longer names, etc.) in Nero 6 as I always use for cd's so I don't think that could be the source of the trouble.
Thanks in advance for any hints or help!
