I run a Shoutcast station I use close to that eay plus there are 2 computer hooked up to the internet here & we are both heay internet users any limit is just lame

Do you run the shoutcast server from your home? In other words, when listeners
connect, are they connecting directly to your computer? Or are you uploading
your stream to a server in a datacenter, and then your listeners connect to that
datacenter server?

DSL/Cable providers don't permit hosting servers on a home line.

lol, that sucks that you guys have bandwidth limits. i use Sasktel high speed basic (only 1.5 mb/ .9 mb) but i get unlimited downloading and internet access!

too bad its only available in Saskatchewan

I struggle to be sympathetic towards your download limit. My max download speed is 13kb/s which limits me to downloading 40 Gb a month... and thats if I downloaded 24/7. I have an unlimited plan... but why would I need that when it takes so long to download anything?
