Comcast vs Verizon internet service

In my building I have the choice of either.

More recently Verizon installed their cable wire which I presume would make them better (i.e. faster) which remains to be seen.

I'm most interested in hearing from those who've tried both to get an idea what I'm in for next year.

All depends on quality of service and speed package/price. I don't like verizon, I have comcast and except for a couple outages in the last 6 years, I haven't had any issues with them. I only have cable internet no tv and i'm paying 69.95 for their 20mbps speed and usually getting 25mbps.

I'm paying $21.99/month for 3.0Mb/768mb DSL service from Verizon.
Comcast's 1.5Mb/384mb service is $49.95/month.
Verizon's customer service has been flawless and fast.
I'm sold on VZ.
