Comp. Freezes When Playing GTA Vice City!

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my computer. Everytime I try yo play Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on my computer, after just 5 minutes of play, my whole computer just freezes. I never have enough time to complete any missions on the game please help. PS: I know that my computer meets all of the system requirements, also, I have downloaded and updated the latest version of DirectX.

Are you able to check the temperature of your CPU? Could be a cooling issue...

Well I recently overclocked my AMD Athlon XP 3000+ processor a little bit. Could that be the problem?

Possibly... try running at it's rated speed and see if the problem disappears.

I had a similar problem when I used to play Pirates of the Carribean. In the end it was a faulty motherboard if thats any help.

Is it only when you play that game? Try playing another game. GTA wouldn't screw up your CPU alone.
