HI, After buying my new mobo,cpu and case i installed it all and it was workin fine for a week or 2 (ok, mabye a few probs-notin serious) but last night i presses the power button and it did nothin.
I looked at the mobo and it says 0.2 on the LED thing, i have an Abit AV8,
Ive checked the power button cable is in and it was.
So if anyone knows what the code 0.2 is then plz tell me

Are you sure its 0.2? In the manual, the only code like that I can find is f.2, which is "Power on sequence timeout". I don't know exactly what that means though.
 
I have tried taking all my cards, psu cables and my mobo cables out, to see if when i plug only the fan in, if i can use a fan without the mobo. Low and behold i found that the fan didn't turn on, so i conclude that the psu is (half) fried if that makes sense.
Although im still not sure why the LED's still go on when the mobo's plugged in.

Maybe just the fan is dead? I had that happen. Cracked open my PSU and spliced a new fan in there, simple fix.
If I were you, I'd grab another working PSU and test your system with that.
 
Ok, remove all cards (video, tv, sound), and dvd/combo, and let only one stick of RAM.
Now, if it is working fine, begin to attach components until you find the problem...
 
im gonna see if i can find a psu and test it, oh and ive had my dad test the voltages on the mobo cable when the psu is on and they are all dead (except one with about 5v) im guessing that that 5v is what ran the LED's
