Company VPN Secrecy

Hi - I was applying for jobs today and stupidly left my VPN on whilst doing it for about 1 hour. I sent two emails to recruiters via Yahoo whilst still connected to my company VPN and then turned it off.

Can anyone guide me in the likelihood of someone noticing in my IT dept and how the encryption works for Yahoo? I am hoping that all they can see is a list of websites I visit and a data usage -nothing more like actual documents etc....

If you do not want your employer possibly knowing what you are doing on a company owned computer I advise you to not do it. Do all transactions you do not want your employer knowing about on a privately owned computer.
