Compaq Laptop Wireless Not Working

1.8 GHZ Compaq laptop. The wirelss died. Integrated. 1 day later my friend says his wireless went out. What should I do.

Is it the intel 2200 wireless card, if it is those are known to be junk. I had one that died on me.

well i have 1 year warranty i bought and dont wanna waste so ill just do a RMA

I don't know of any laptop that doesn't have a miniPCI wireless card. Most are easily accessible by a bottom "door". Look for that, pop out the old card, and purchase a replacement.

is there any wires that attach to it? and im just wondering, do i have ot pay ship to them if i wanna RMA? thanks

there are usually two antinna wires attached to a standard miniPCI wireless card, and yes you have to pay to ship the card to them.
