I have a friend who has a compaq presario for sale for 300.00
It is a 2.5 ghz system.That is all he knows about it.It is brand new and never been used.What is it worth?

Give us some more specs (if at all possibe) like ram, hard drive, video card. If there is a sound card, does it come with a moniter, if so what size. And also speakers? Mouse and keyboard? Wireless?

There is alot of variables. Tell him to go to control panel > system, and tell you what he see's there. thats the main hardware there, with exception to the video card.

It is a full system.17 in.crt moniter.256 meg of ram with 40 gig.harddrive.That is all I know.

thats an ok PC, but really entry level. It depends what you will be using it for. For word processing and general office tasks it will do the job. Games are a no-no unless you upgrade it. heavily.
