HI Friends,

I Am very much new to this site, so please friend can you help me out as i am havin one problem with my laptop.

I have Compaq presario 2100 laptop.
the problem is that know when i am starting the laptop only the power LED glows and there is no display in the laptop.

I have tried everything which i can do.
but i am unable to resolve this problem,
So please can any one help me out.

Do you get ANYTHING from the laptop? Any fans, HD noises, CD lights(or can you eject it)

It's not too uncommon for laptop motherboards to just fail over time.

Can the power LED light up if the motherboard is dead?

If He does get fans, and HD noises etc, etc. It's most likely a screen problem.
 
don't think its the RAM... there is a possibility that the wiring inside that connects to your monitor is loose or even broken... i've got a friend that didn't get any display at all on his laptop out of the blue... but when he actually tilt the screen back and forth, he would evetually get a display.... however, after a while it will just turn black again...
