Compaq Presario 2500 Power Jack

How do i replace the power jack for the compaq it has a short in it and im trying to replace it.

Speak of the devil, i just fixed mine a few weeks ago, my method was a little unorthodox approach by using regular crimp on quick connects and wires soldered to mobo,but then again im cheap when it came to my 6 year old laptop... You can find the jacks on ebay or here:
