I'm currently working on a compaq c700. The laptop will not boot up. I already checked the memory sticks with another set of memory stick, trying one stick at a time and so on. So that isolates that issue. I noticed when I power on the system, the cpu fan will spin for like two seconds then it will stop spinning and then about ten to fifteen seconds later the system will shutdown. It seems to me that it could be cpu issue, and not the system boardboard or maybe it is the system board. The hd led light is not lighting up but I know that's not necessarily needed for a complete POST. What do you guys or gals think.
