compaq presario v3000 is turn on and off, on and off

recently, i have buy a 2nd hand notebook model compaq presario v3000 from my friends. its having lcd problem so he gave me cheap price. after a few weeks i managed to replace the lcd with a new one. at the same time, i try to turn on the notebook and it just boot normally. but after i try to turn on it after 2 hours, it will on and off and it goes so many time at least 20 attempt before it can boot up. im getting fed up because i have to do this everytime whenever i need to use it. can someone there tell me the problem and what i must do to fix this? tq

nvidia gforce graphic
windows 7 ultimate
h/disk 250 gb
ram 3 gb

May be harddrive failure,power issue,or/& heat issue.When a pc gets to hot,it will immediately shutoff without shutting down. If its the mobo,you are probably better off gutting it & part it out.If it runs hot,strip it down,clean fan & heatsink & apply new thermal paste.

im rarely using that notebook since i replace it with a new LCD. normally using it only at night after works. im going to do clean up inside my notebook then, i remember that one of my screw is loose . this is another problem im facing since i cannot open the screw using any of my screw on my tools. appreciate it if you can help me over this..
