Comparing Different RAM?

I would like to know if I would see a noticable performance difference between these two:

Corsair 2GB XMS2-6400 TWIN2X Dual Channel DDR2 Kit (2 x 1GB)

Corsair 2GB XMS2-6400C4 TWIN2X Dual Channel DDR2 Kit (2 x 1GB)

The only difference I see is the timings. Will there be a difference. I would like to try to save money.

Also, I was looking at this RAM:

OCZ 2GB PC2-6400 EL Platinum XTC Edition Dual Channel DDR2 Kit (2 x 1GB)

Would that perform just as good as the Corsair RAM? Again higher timings, but if it's not a major difference I will gladly use this one.

Thanks.

you can always change the timings later, right?

you know, I just picked up the $150 set for $60 off newegg and the $170 pair was $70. i love when stuff goes on sale =D

but seriously check newegg for sales and rebates and whatnot.

I'm from Canada, and for Canadian sites that is about the best you'll find.

Also, I had no idea you could change the timings, and I don't intend to do so.

How does the memory compare though?

One has a timing of 4-4-4-12 and runs on 2.1 volt, and the other has a timing of 5-5-5-12 and runs on 1.9 volt. Of course the 4-4-4-12 is faster, but not by much. If you're pressed for money then the slower one will do fine. However if you have money to use, get the faster one.

I'll just be running games and maybe Windows Movie Maker a bit (Is it even included with Vista, or is there a new program with it)But mainly Games.

And I'm assuming Crucial Balistix is a well known brand? I haven't heard of it.

Also does the higher voltage mean it will run hotter? But memory doesn't really get warm anyway right?

Edit: I just went to the online configurator on that site, and for some reason it says the Crucial RAM you suggested isn't compatible with my mobo???

This is the mobo I am thinking about:

Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L w/ DualDDR2 1066, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, PCI-E x16

It will work fine. Which sites configurator did you use? Memory Express?

Crucial is a known brand. They are the end user division on Micron
