Comparison?

I'm looking to build a new computer in a few weeks and am looking at graphics cards. If the 8800 GT gets under 100 by then..i'll buy that but until then i'm comparing two 8600 GT cards.

they are both relatively the same. One has a 512 MB DDR2 onboard and the other has a 256 DDR3 onboard.

does the 256 DDR3 make the card better than the 512 MB of DDR2?

Also, does the onboard ram have to be compatible with the motherboard?

thanks for anyone that can answer my question. i highly appreciate it.

sorry to burst your bubble but there is no way the 8800GT will be anywhere close to $100, ever. get a 9600GT.

yes 29.99, 1st u sign up for the revolution credit card and get a 50 discount at buy.com; so after rebates its 29.99, probably never use that card againg but hey 50 off is what counts

Do they charge an annual fee for that card?
