Hello. Is there any sort of online tester in which I can see what kind of ram I would need for my setup? So far I have a 512 stick by samsung (pc3200, ddr sdram, cl3) in my hp a450n. I purchased another stick of 512 by Kingston (pc3200, ddr400, cl3), installed it, and thought all would be well. Control panel read that there was now a gig of ram. Unfortunately, now it seems my ram is less effective now, then when the original 512 stick was in place by itself. I tried removing the new (Kingston) stick. I think my settings are still messed up some how, because stability has been shakier than usual. I did make sure that both sticks were running in dma mode. In addition, I ran Windows Memory Diagnostic and found out that errors were only encountered when the Kingston card was in place. I am not really sure what to do. Thanks, your help is much appreciated.

And how did you come to this conclusion? :)
