Compatibility issues/Choice of hardware on new build.

I've never built a PC before, I decided to have a friend that knows how to build computers build me one. I am a firm believer in "trust but verify" so I just want to make sure I'm getting the best for my money and that when it all comes in it should be compatible. I'll be having another friend help me out with the actual building.

Thanks in advanced. Also if you have any other questions, I'll be checking on this thread from time to time.

Pretty good choice of hardware, but I question some doubts about the PSU en de HDD. PSU is pretty good, but I cannot find many detailed reviews about it, maybe an other "CF" member can help you with that. But for just ten bucks extra, you can get a 1TB harddrive of WD's Enterprise disks:

And if you want you can split them in 2 partitions( 2x500GB), so you could have a back up.

EDIT: What's actually the purpose of your rig? I see 2x 7850, why? Are you a hardcore gamer? I recommend you go for a 1x 7970 and spend less money on your PSU.

Nice try mate, but not a good choice of parts.

You want to get an intel based board, a 2500K, a known name PSU (Corsair etc).

Start with the Z77 or Z68 based boards and CPU, DDR3 RAM and a getter PSU and graphics card.
