I want to build a computer for HD video editing, photo editing, recording music, and researching on the Internet.

So far the parts I have picked out are as follows:

ASUS M4A88T-M AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

AMD Athlon II X4 635 Propus 2.9GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3750528AS 750GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

Rosewill Stallion Series RD500-2SB 500W ATX12V v2.2 Power Supply

Rosewill R102-P-BK 120mm Fan MicroATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Is this too little/too much? Are the built in sound and video cards capable of doing the video and music editing? Any help is good help.

No, you'll want a dedicated GPU. What's your budget for a graphics card? Onboard sound is usually fine with me, but some people prefer a proper sound card.

Can I install the Gpu to that mobo? $100 to $150 is my budget. Will I be able to produce good quality recordings with onboard sound?

Yep, you can put a single-slot GPU in there. Usually I wouldn't reccomend a sound card unless you recorded sound or were some audiophile, (which you are). GPU:

also, while Rosewill aren't the worst brand in the world, I would get a Power Supply from Antec, Corsair, XFX, SeaSonic, PC power and cooling, Enermax, [Thermaltake, Cooler Master, OCZ]

i keep changing my mind. would a higher dual core be more beneficial than a lower quad core? the website for my hd camera calls for a 3.2 pentium 4 (or equivalent). and i have a 2.8 picked out. if i went with a 3.2 dual core, would it work better?
