I would get 2 of these rather than the one you posted. Just personal opinion. I have not had the best luck with WD drives lately:

To answer your other question...

the GPU should go in the PCI Express x16 slot. IT does not really matter 2.0/2.1/3.0 any of them will not bottleneck the card. The sound card can either be put in an PCI Express x1/x4/x8/x16 slot. As long as it is PCI Express. You can put that sound card in there.

The build is fine and yes the GPU is compatible with PCI 3.0, I would change the Memory to this

I've switchd the ram to the one you suggested and I changed the HDD to an SSD from what I've heard with maybe a 1TB HDD for storage. Instead of the mother board you sugegsted up there, I changed it to this from all the feedback on the site. Here it is:

Ive had 3 creative cards in the past and all have been plagued with dodgy drivers from Creative.

Its a great card,I have the Pci version and never had any issues with drivers or anything.
