I recently saw http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8195031
I thought that was an amazing deal for the price, there was just one problem, the graphics card SUCKS. It's a NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE.
I've been looking into higher-performance graphics cards and noticed a GeForce 8800GT for $160 on newegg, and I hear it's a very good card.

Would this card be compatible with the pc, and will it be able to run new games?
Also would I need anything like a new fan/a more powerful supply?

You need to make sure that you have (A) A PCI express slot and (B) a 450watt PSU or better. If you need more power check out the Ultra Power Partner. It installs in the CD rom bay and provides 325 watts JUST for your graphics card and will cost about $50-60.

I don't see the PSU wattage, but you do have a PCI-e slot so you could get that card.

Chances are that that HP only comes with a 300 watt power supply or less--you'll need a little more power for the 8800 gt-and you'll probably need a pci-express power supply also-just look for a nice 500 watt supply and that should cover anything you need.
