Compatible hard drive for laptop?

i am looking at a replacement 100gb Toshiba MK-1032GSX SATA 5400 for my laptop.. (sony viao laptop model pcg-frv26, 2.8 ghz, 40gb-hd...)......will this work?.....thanks again...

4 yr old laptop. i doubt it uses SATA. you might try ATA6 or open it up just to make sure.

thanks for the reply...the desktops i think i can handle but, laptops, well, i am not even in the playground!...ok, let me try another and see if this one may work...Fujitsu 100GB Laptop Notebook PATA Hard Drive MHU2100AT...yes-no?.....thanks for the reply and help!
