I want to know Is it okay for me to plug in another DDR2 533MHz 512MB RAM into my laptop if i already have one running 400MHz DDR2 512MB RAM? Will my OS going crazy? If this is possible? What the speed of RAM the laptop will use? 1GB 400MHz?

What is the speed different between 2X512MB DDR2 533Mhz RAM and 1GB DDR2 533MHz ram if my laptop support dual channel which one faster?

My laptop is running Centrino Sonoma 533MHz 1.8GHz
 
Your bus speed will run at the slowest of all components... As long as your board will suport the 1 GB or ram, I'de say go for it!

Your slowest speed is 400 mhz, so the bus will then run as 400 mhz, but I think you will see a speed increase having 1GB of ram at 400 mhz, then having 512MB at 533 mhz.
