Complete hard drive copying

I am getting a new hard drive for my desktop because the old one is giving failure errors but has not crashed yet, I need some software that can copy everything from my old hard drive onto my new hard drive exactly the way it is, for example, all programs are installed and work just as they did before anything was switched. I have 2 external Enclosures, and A laptop If the software required the hard drives not to be running an OS when they were copied. If anyone has a software reccomendation, or just a helpful tip, it would be greatly appreciated.

First of two identical threads! What you are referring to is Cloning software. But there is one thing to state here. You can make a clear copy of the drive with all folders and have nothing work. Any new drive will first need to be partitioned and formated for the operating system to be INSTALLED TO along with video and sound, mother board softwares/drivers, and any softwares there after. To have programs run requires the installer for most programs to create new values in the system registry as well as making them active. To copy your important files, photos, mp3s, game saves, jpegs, etc. to the new drive you can also slave the old to the new after the new is up and running with a working operating system installed to it.
