Completely new build

I'm looking at pricing myself a build, I'm not 100% sure about it because Sandy Bridge comes out Q1 2011, so there should be a massive price drop on the i7/5 ranges..

I'll be looking to the following websites to purchase through:

Umart
MSY
GameDude (although they are my least favourite supplier.)
And StaticICE for price comparison

CPU: i7-950 $348 (MSY)

Motherboard: Uhh I don't know much about the current motherboards out at the moment, but I want 8 channel sound, USB 3.0, and DDR3 memory. I will not need more then one x16 PCIe slot, as I don't ever plan on SLi.

Memory: I really like OCZ, Corsair, and Kingston. I'm probably looking at some good memory not sure on 4Gb or 8Gb yet.

HDD/SSD: I've been thinking a combination of a small SSD or Momentus XT hybrid and a 1TB or 2TB SeaGate HDD.

Vidya Card: I've been looking GTX 465, or GTX 460 completely because of price, but if you guys think this will be a bottleneck then I'll look at a 470 or 480.

Monitor: Looking at anything between 21-24" but I might instead try to find another Acer 19"W the same as my current one and go dual monitors. What are you guys opinions on the LED over standard LCD monitors, worth it or not?

Power Supply: Another thing I'm not much sure about is the PSU, I was thinking something around 750-1000W, but I'm not sure what brand. I like Antec, CoolerMaster, and OCZ.

Case: I've been looking at all the following cases:
  1. Antec - P183
  2. Antec - P193
  3. Antec - DF-85
  4. Thermaltake - Element V
  5. Thermaltake - HAV
  6. Thermaltake - COSMOS PURE
  7. 'nVida' Cooler Master - Stacker 380

Mouse and Keyboard: I like the Logitech MX 5500 mouse and keyboard, Logitech G510, G15, and G110 keyboards and the Cyborg R.A.T9 mouse.

Cooling: I was considering water cooling, but I'm not sure about it as I want a solid system that won't give me problems, does anyone know a very low maintenance water system? Other then that can people suggest really good quality silent fans?

I'm open to all suggestions, and thank you in advance for them.

LGA 2011 not come out till Q3 2011, and thus LGA 1366 is still ok

CPU - core i7 950 is fine.
Mobo - What price range are are you after
video card - GTX 460/ 5850/ 5870
PSU - XFX/ Consair/ Seasonic/ Antec are good brands. Cooler master/ OCZ are not that good.
Cooling - Consider consair h50/70??

I've decided to go with the i7-950, although now I'm having trouble picking a mobo, can anyone suggest one of the Asus 1366 motherboards?

I would buy a 1156 i7-860 and get a faster GPU. It is as fast as the 1136 and you can save money. You dont need a 1000w PSU with any of the cards you mentioned.

+1 on the Corsair or Kingston rec.

Get an ASUS E-PRO MOBO and a sound card. USB/SATA 3 plus SLI and CF if you want in the future at 8x8 which does not bottle neck the GTX480.
