compress drice C:/

What happens if i compress drice C:/ in Windows xp like the picture om the link below?

Will it corupt any files at all?

Theoretically, no. It will cause a system slowdown, since the computer has to uncompress files whenever reading them off teh drive and compress them again when writing back.

Storage is cheap enough now that you can afford to buy another hard drive rather than worry about compressing the contents of the one you currently have.
