compress drive to save space.

compress older files which you don't access as much and you might not even notice the difference, especially if you don't need to access a particular compressed file.

Trying using the winzip or the winrar to compress files that you don't frequently use, and of course delete the original files after making sure that the archive is working properly and not corrupted.

Winrar compression is better than winzip, so you might consider it first, but you can compare them as well.

Try to compress the text, word and html files, they save a lot of space.

People, I beleive he's talking about window's option to compress a drive...

Ya I think he is talking about compressing a drive and not some files. I don't recommend compressing drives. I once did that before around 11 years ago with my 130 MB Hard Disk, this was really old but I still have it :D, it was awful when compressed, I faced a lot of problems. I don't know how compression is done these days cause I never tried it again, but I think it's some sort of a winrar like activity. Zipmagic allows you to compress files and folders and still have the ability to access them without extraction, I think that's what the drive compressions does.

Anyway, I never liked it.
