Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum, but would like some help if possible!
Some background information on my computer: It's only 6 months old, running Windows 7, 16gb RAM, 120gb memory, intel i7.
So it's been working fine for the past 6 months--but this morning when I went to go use it--it rebooted--and showed this message on the screen "no Identifiable disk found, please insert a bootable disk and press any key." No matter what key I pressed--it didn't work, so I pushed the power button--and all was fine.
Yesterday all my programs worked fine, cept today after seeing that message--my computer would freeze in the middle of using these programs--and then I'm forced to reboot. Now these aren't games or anything, they're simple programs like kaplan, etc. After rebooting the same message pops up from this morning, then I have to hit the power button again to get it to work.
What I've tried so far: I did a system restore thinking it was an update that isn't sitting well with my computer. After restoring and finding out that the update was changing the windows defender for spyware and etc, I thought that this probably fixed the problem.
However, within a few hours, my computer continued to freeze and reboot. So I did an earlier system restore. Finally I think this solved the problem--but after leaving my computer for an hour, I found that it rebooted again, with the same message. Now I'm using it and it seems to be working fine, but I have no idea what's wrong with the computer. It's still very new and if any of you guys could help out, I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks,
