Computer and Internet are very slow

Guys,

I dont know what happened. Since last 4 days, my computer and internet are very slow. I tried my best to find a sloution. But it didnt make any change. I am using:

AVG anti spyware
Ad-Adware SE Personal
Norton Antivirus 2004.

I installed Norton 2004 because 3 or 4 weeks ago. I done 3 or 4 restarting after that. Since then my AVG anti spyware is not working. I mean, when I click on Fast system scan or Full system scan, it is just going normal. But it wont stop the image of scanning my pc even if the bar that shows the progress of scanning is full. Whats the problem with my computer. My PC never ever slow down like this in 2 or 3 years.

PLEASEEE suggest something that could be useful

Unplug your modem and/or router for a few minutes and plug it back in and restart your computer.

Try downloading Abexo free registry cleaner and run that, make a back up first it will give you options.

Also, try Firefox with fasterfox installed on it. It seems to help.

Also if you have firefox here is a list of tweaks to perform to ensure fast browsing.

I am sorry etsa. I greatly appreciate ur reply. I cant download FF. My mom wont let me(i no its crazy. but sos).

But I will try the pulling modem thing.

Sorry, modem puling thing dosent work. The internet is still slow as well as the PC.
And what is Abexo ?
 
Tell your parents firefox is a reputable replacement and was designed with linux users in mind and is just as secure as IE7 if not more. It has many more features and is an excellent internet browser.

Thats the problem. I run ANG anti spyware and it never stop scanning. I mean it dosent show the next step after scanning wether it is a qucik scanning or full system scanning
 
If your parents work for the gonvernment/paid directly, the often need IE to submit paycheck requests because the Government is warped.

I just need to thank all you people for helping me through this problem. I found what was wrong with my PC. It was the new Antivirus I installed on my PC. It was Norton Antivirus 2004. I uninstalled it and installed zone alarmbs(which i bought yesterday !!!!). It works fine, but I dont know how is it works. I dont even know how to scan. lol. anyway, that was a great help from you gusy. Thank you very much. I hope i will get this co-operation in my other questions as well.
