Just a constant BEEEP....BEEEP...BEEEP...? Longer and consistent? I've seen computers do this when they have a RAM issue(sometimes just removing and reseating it will help) Or sometimes it's processor related, like maybe a loose fan or something... It could be lots of things, thought. Somtimes you just have to tear the computer apart and start rebuilding and hope you find a problem :P

Yes its a constant beep, beep, beep? it may have been becasue i turned it off buy holding the button down instead of making it normally shutdown casue i pressed the button vista to shutdown and the screen turned off but my computer didn't seem to so thats why i turned it off in that way.

Hold down the power button until it turns off and try turning it back on. Next time use the start>shut down or make an icon on your desktop for a shutdown or restart button, if you want directions on how to do that id be glad to post em.

That's not the best way to shut a PC down, but I've shut my laptop down like that quite a few times in the last few weeks(I get frustrated and don't care to wait on it :P) So far it's still worked just fine.

Hey fixed it.

just turned the switch at the back of the pc tower off then back on again and it worked - thank god i will never be turning my computer off that way gain

thxs for your help guys
