What is your standard boot time, from POST Screen to and idle Windows desktop, just curious, mine is 9-10 seconds.

that doesnt seem right... thats usually the time it takes for the windows loading screen to come and go, not from Post to my desktop.

I have an unusualy long boot process, but at least I've got the cool lanparty logo on the boot screen :P

9-10 secs doesn't seem right to me either, even a fully loaded FX-57 machine with "the works" takes longer than 10 seconds. Simply loading Windows is a slow process, and past a certain point you cannot speed it up no matter how fast your HDD's are or how fast ur system overall is.

Awww damn! I was waiting for this page to load and trying to guess when the first RAID/Raptor fanboy would show up... didnt expect first post

considering a RAM harddrive with all out specs still takes 30 seconds from startup to useability I kinda doubt you. Yes, its a harddrive that uses regular RAm modules as storage.

From the second I pressed the power button, my lappy took just under 50 seconds to get to windows. Realize I have it underclocked to 800MHz, though I don't know when that actually kicks in...

My desktop takes about 35 seconds, and I think much of that is from ZoneAlarm...
