computer booting one hour

Hello guys my computer is booting too long close to one hour. Its new hp pavilion i had it for couple years. I thought the problem is because i have windows vista for a long time so i decided to change my windows to windows 7. But i stiil getting the same thing even with new windows. Can somebody help me? its just booting too long and shutting down but then it works normal.

So are you saying that it takes an hour to boot to your desktop after turning it on?

Either a bad hard drive or other bad hardware. But I'm putting my bet on the hard drive first. What model of hard drive is it?

yes i tried to put good harddrive from another computer and it was thew same i dont know whats wrong
 
Could be bad cable as well. Looks like you may have to take it in and have it diagnosed. Could be a bunch of possibilities. Motherboard, ram, power supply, vid card. Usually you can get a diagnosis for less then 50 bucks.

That's the last place you want to go to. Find a mom and pop computer repair store and take it there. Best buy will rape you.
